One very recent user review of the product: Elizabeth Arden's Retinol Ceramide Serum

Given all the recent buzz surrounding Elizabeth Arden’s Retinol Ceramide Serum (particularly its skin augmentation properties), I decided to buy it and try on myself. After all, I have read and tried a few retinol products prior which have all given me different results of which I was both looking forward to and a little scared. So here is a full-length review of the product based on my use of the serum.

Packaging: 4/5

What intrigued me more about this pump was the fact that the serum was housed in a dark glass bottle which kept the product and light exposure under control. I did, however, find the pump of the product a bit excessive at times, as it would dispense more product than what was needed. A smaller aperture might have been more sensible and user friendly or even a dropper.

Texture and Absorption: 5/5

The texture of the serum is somewhat smooth and airy. It applies on the skin effortlessly and its rapid absorption leaves no shine on the skin. I found that it sits well under my moisturizer and other products, making it easy to use it in my evening application, which is a plus.

Scent: 4/5

There is a light, yet pleasant fragrance in the serum and for the most part it remains subdued. It does not have the usual chemical scent that I have found in most retinol products which was something I really liked. It is quite rich, not medical at all.

Results: 5/5

Using this serum for about six weeks has significantly enhanced my skin’s texture. My face looked more even, with fine lines appearing less pronounced, especially around my eyes and mouth. I was also pleased to see that those annoying dark spots, which I have suffered for many years, drastically reduced in size.

Retinol plus ceramides is a formula that delivers results. Retinol increases cell turnover and helps to manage the effects of aging while ceramides retain moisture and protect the skin. Unlike most retinol products I have encountered in the past, with those if any, skin dryness or irritation did not occur. This was a good thing.

Skin Sensitivity: 5/5

This is a serum that I was cautious about owing to my sensitive skin. I first used it every other night and then progress to applying it every night. Luckily, there was no redness or irritation. The application works, though, which is very nice for persons in the same situation.

Conclusion:

To sum it up, in terms of drawal and after-effects Elizabeth Arden’s Retinol Ceramide Serum has gone beyond what I expected. This dares to make one of the most preposterous claims of rapid skin renewal with all the hint of reito products. My skin feels firm, my complexion is clearer than ever and I have a significantly younger looking skin. I encourage all people who want to improve their skincare systems to use this serum, particularly those with skin that is sensitive. It is now an irreplaceable part of the protocols I have adopted at night, and I hope to achieve my goals with it for even longer!
